COOK ISLAND MARINE RESERVE: The area around Cook Island has some of the best variety of dive sites in one area. Dives range from caves and tunnels on the seaward side to beautiful hard and soft corals on gradually sloping ledges to sandy flats loved by rays and Leopard Sharks, it is an ideal site for exploring on scuba and by snorkel. Depths range from 4-22m. It used to be called Turtle Island, named so by Capt Cook due to the abundance of turtles at the Island. It is home to the Green, Hawskbill and Loggerhead turtles. There is a wealth of marine life here from tiny nudibranchs and pipefish to Leopard sharks, shovel nose rays, Eagle rays and much, much more.

- BOB'S GULLY: This reef emerged from the sand after a storm in October, 1993. We have been watching it grow from a barren rocky reef to an area covered with marine growth and kelp forest. Good dive. 12-18m.
- FIDO REEF: Huge expanse of reef with almost 15 different dive sites. Ideal for drift diving and exploring. Has a 90-year-old wreck, the SS Fido. 4-24m.
- S.S. ALBERTA: More than 100-year-old shipwreck. Excellent shallow dive and ideal skin diving. 6-12m.
- TURTLE COVE: Lying in 14m just out from the Northern side of Cook Island is a rocky reef which is a favourite resting place for the big turtles and Shovel Nose Rays.
