The PADI Dive Master program will help you to develop your diving knowledge and skills to enable you to enter the diving industry as a professional Divemaster. You will complete the course equipped with exemplary diving skills, proficient rescue skills a broader more professional level of dive theory. You will be a competent certified assistant with dive management and supervision skills.
Cost $1,150
- Certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent).
- Be certified as a PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent).
- Have logged a minimum of 20 open water dives prior to entry into PADI Divemaster training, and completed and logged a minimum of 60 open water dives with experience in night, deep and navigation prior to certification as a PADI Divemaster.
- Minimum age 18.
- Be in good physical condition for diving and submit a medical exam form signed by a physician.
- Current first aid training (within 24 months). Training can be provided see First Aid page.

Watermanship and Skills Assessment:
- Swimming, snorkelling and scuba skills are assessed in this session.
Practical Training:

- Role of Divemaster in Non-Training situation
Time Requirement:
- 6 days for academic and watermanship skills
- 4 days for practical application
- 3 month part time internship, preferred option as provides extensive experience in varied dive related roles.

Internship
The Internship is an opportunity for you to put into practice all that you have learnt throughout the program by helping teach a complete open water program, with real students. This is not role playing, but real courses with fee paying clients. Your instructor will complete an evaluation on your performance and professionalism throughout the open water course you are assisting on, to enable you to assess your own skills, strengths and weaknesses.
As a certified PADI Divemaster with current liability insurance, you'll be qualified to:
- Organize, conduct and supervise recreational diving activities, both land and boat based.
- Assist PADI Instructors in conducting PADI Diver programs.
- Act as a certified assistant to PADI Instructors.
- Supervise participants in PADI experience programs for uncertified divers.
- Generally supervise both training and no training related diving activities by planning, organizing and directing dives
- Teach and certify PADI Skin Divers
- Conduct the PADI Scuba Review program for certified divers.
- Enrol in PADI Instructor level training
