PADI OPEN WATER COURSE
Your first step!! Be a diver in 3 days!!
On completion of this course you will be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver. This certification is internationally recognised so you will be able to dive anywhere in the world to a depth of 18m.
Our instructional staff are highly motivated professionals, who love what they do. Dive Jam specialise in small courses and offer flexibility to the individual. With no more than eight students per course and a ratio of one instructor per four students, we will ensure your safety and enjoyment throughout your training
Note: all training dives are conducted at Cook Island Marine Park, a short boat ride from the Tweed River.

E-Learning Prerequisites
- Minimum age 13
- Able to complete a 200m swim and a 10min survival float
- Independent e-learning study prior to commencement of course.
- Have dive medical current within 90 days of starting course
E-Learning Course Structure
- Independent study online.
- Day 1 pool training
- Days 2 & 3 - four ocean dives over two days at Cook Island Marine Park
E-Learning Course Schedule
- The most popular schedule is two consecutive weekends.
- Full time courses run Tuesday through Thursday (numbers permitting) & Friday through to Sunday.
- Personal tailored courses available, price on application.
The cost of the E-Learning course includes:
- All latest scuba equipment (excluding snorkelling gear)
- Boat dives
- Light refreshments
- Dive tables and log book, worth $30
- Pool entry
- Airfills
- Internationally recognised certification.
Not Included:
- A Medical (AS4005.1 - 2000) is required by Australian Law for Open Water certification. Please see link www.spums.org.au for doctors in your area. Your medical must have been completed within 90 days of commencing course. Costs start at $60.
- Your own personal snorkelling gear (mask, snorkel & fins). WH&S recommend that each person uses their own personal items to reduce the possibility of disease transmission, however they are available for hire at $50 for course duration.
- E-Learning Registration to PADI of $120US

Refund Policy
- Deposit of $100 required to secure place
- Failure of dive medical, full refund.
- Cancellation or reschedule of dates - outside 7 days - $50
- Cancellation or reschedule of dates - inside 7 days - $100
- Non completion of dive medical or independent study by day 1 will mean cancellation of your booking and transfer to later date. This will incur late transfer charges of $100.
- No refunds once course is underway.
