PADI RESCUE DIVER COURSE

Challenging and rewarding best describes the PADI Rescue Diver course. This course will expand your knowledge and experience level. Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is challenging, it is a rewarding way to build your confidence. Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. Many divers say this is the best course they've ever taken. You'll cover:

Self-rescue and diver stress
Emergency management and equipment
Panicked diver response
In-water rescue breathing protocols
Egress (exits)
Dive accident scenarios

Prerequisites

Minimum age 12 (under 15 jnr rescue diver)
Be a PADI advanced diver or have a qualifying certification from another training agency
20 or more logged dives
Current sanctioned first Aid certificate see link
Read manual and complete knowledge reviews prior to classroom session

Course Structure

Day 1 - first aid if required
Day 2 - classroom & pool
Day 3 - open water
Day 4 - open water

Course Schedule

The most popular schedule is two consecutive weekends.
Full time courses run Thursday through to Sunday.
Other days available on request.

The cost of the course includes:

All latest scuba equipment (excluding snorkelling gear)
Boat dives
Light refreshment
PADI manual & accident management slate, worth $75
Pool entry
Air fills
Internationally recognised certification

Not Included:

Your own personal snorkelling gear (mask, snorkel & fins). WH&S recommend that each person uses their own personal items to reduce the possibility of disease transmission, however they are available for hire at $50 for course duration.

Refund Policy

Deposit of $100 required to secure place
Cancellation or reschedule of dates - inside 7 days - $100
No refunds once course is underway.
